Visit Malacca Planetarium

Malaysia has six Planetarium, located in Malacca near with the Malacca International Trade Center, the planetarium is the best equipped in Malaysia, the most advanced planetariumin Malacca. Malacca Chief Minister said the planetarium cost about 20 million ringgit, the internal value of 2.4 million ringgit advanced equipment to become Asia’s most advanced planetarium. In addition to Malacca planetarium, the other four planetarium are located in Kuala Lumpur, Sarawak, Kuala Terengganu and Tanjung Birara, Melaka.
Malacca planetarium is also divided into two floor:
First floor exhibition hall, display of various types of astronomy and science teaching. At least 20 astronomical technology products, including a cost of 2.4 million ringgit of the space simulation chamber, through the transfer of U.S. technology made in the local manufacturing.
The second floor is the Malacca Planetarium Theater. Malacca planetarium theater can accommodate 210 guest, viewers can watch with half lying down, through the top of the semi-circular screen, feeling the mystery of the universe. Malacca Planetarium Theater will be broadcast every day two sets of the universe and astronomy video. “During the day, the planetarium will be broadcast on the universe, film, while at the night will broadcast astronomy video, video will be replaced every 6 months with a new theme.”
